The SD Council of the Dakota ACAC publishes several publications designed to assistance students, counselors and admission professional with the transition from high school to college. Some of these publications include: Educational Opportunities in SD Student Planning Guide: 29,000 copies of this guide are printed in the fall and distributed to school counselors, career centers and other locations. The guide is offered free to interested persons and contains information sheets on most of the post-secondary institutions in SD, a list of several out-of-state schools that participate in the SD fall college fairs, a chart of programs offered by various SD post-secondary schools and general information on financial aid assistance available. Educational Opportunities in SD Wall Chart: A Chart of programs offered by many of the SD post-secondary colleges, universities, technical institutes, hospitals and training schools. Available free of charge. School Counselor Information Directory: This booklet distributed to counselors and colleges throughout the state includes much of the information contained in the student planning guide, plus a yellow pages directory of school counselors throughout the state and a statistic digest of information related to the high school-to-college transition. Corrections to the current directory are listed here in a pdf file. Available for $15. Newsletters: A series of updates for school counselors and college admission professionals are sent throughout the school year via e-mail and fax.
