A copy of the 2011 fall school counselor workshops registration form and agenda in PDF format can be downloaded by clicking here. Advanced registration is encouraged, but on-site will be accepted - subject to limitations on materials available.  A press release is also available for those wishing to send one to their local or school paper.

        Sept. 15:    Sioux Falls, Southeast Technical Institute . Sullivan Health Center

Our planned agenda for each site is as follows:

        8:30 AM -- Coffee & Registration

        9:00 AM -- Introductions, Dakota ACAC Overview, Updates on SDSCA & SDCA

         9:20 AM -- Health & Career EDventure Update & Materials

         9:30 AM -- SD Health Care Workforce Development Community & School Toolkit

         9:40 AM -- Labor Market Information Center Materials

        10:00 AM -- ASVAB Update - US Department of Defense

        10:30 AM -- Financial Aid Update, Great Lakes Higher Education Corp.

        11:00 AM -- SD Department of Education Updates

        11:30 AM -- Lunch on Site (Covered in Workshop Fee) & Networking with Area Counselors

        12:15 PM -- SD Board of Regents Updates

        12:30 PM -- Panel Discussion and Q&A on the College Admissions Process

          2:00 PM -- Expected Adjournment

PLEASE NOTE:  We will NOT be scheduling a morning breakout session on Elementary Counseling Issues.    

Please register in advance by returning the registration form so we have have a count on meals and materials.
